Yacht carpeting can be of
various grades and quality. For any applications that may
get excess water, salt spray or heavy foot traffic, we would
recommend any of the general exterior carpets. We suggest 20
or 40 Ounce for outside applications and the Berbers or the
40 Ounce for inside and outside applications. For engine
rooms, docks, storage areas and other general applications,
take a look at the Pool and Patio samples. We have some Pool
and Patio carpets that should last for years in the storage
areas. There is some "plastic" grass types that are
weaved and/or looped that are absolutely awesome for high
traffic areas, engine rooms and wet areas.
We
cut, bind and fit to your patterns. Paper patterns or your
old carpets is all we need. We get old carpets shipped in
here every week via UPS. We do have a number of patterns
already in our inventory. Call us and we'll see if we have
your make and model.
The Majority of our Sea
Ray, Carver, Maxxum and similar brand use the berber types
for the deck carpets and open cabin areas. The backing
on this carpet will not come apart and turn to black sand or
tan rubber pebbles!
The backing is a
heavy duty ribbed latex that actually
acts as a deck gripper. Generally, you won't need to
install snaps or Velcro unless your boat exceeds 50
MPH.

Thunder Gray, Marble
Gray, Honey Beige, Moonshine.
We sell more of the Moonshine color (light tanish)
by far! Marble gray is the second most popular and
we call it dirty moonshine because in low light we
can't hardly tell the difference between the two
colors.
These colors
are always changing so call us or go to the sample

This carpet is really
quite awesome! Heavy duty, guaranteed for 5 years
and suitable for your patio, pool deck or exterior
yacht deck. Not recommended for bass boats as the
Berber style weave can't be bent around sharp
corners or 90 degrees lid edges. Plus, the looped
threads catch on those fishing hooks!

Our Berber can
be cut and bound to match your existing carpets. You
should send us your patterns (heavy duty kraft paper
is the best, along with year, model of boat and
serial number if possible). We will estimate the
yardage costs, the cut charges and the binding
fees. These carpets are normally used in Sea Rays,
Crestliners and others. We will send you an email
with the total cost before we start. If it's too
much $$--WE UNDERSTAND!
This carpet,
in cut pieces and full rolls, generally has
to be shipped by truck and comes only in 12
foot widths. Patterned pieces are shipped
UPS. We may have a lot of remnants in some
colors so call us if you need some small
pieces or just a dock mat. (Our wives use
the mats in their kitchens. That way, we
won't slip and fall when we're doin the
dishes )
This tough stuff! No more black sand
or tan pebbles on your deck. Plus this backing grips the
deck and in a lot of cases no snaps are even required!
This backing is also available on the 40 ounce carpet as an
optional feature.
